With the People on the Move

The Scalabrini International Migration Network (SIMN) is a global, non-profit network dedicated to safeguarding the dignity and rights of people on the move — including migrants, refugees, internally displaced people, seafarers, and itinerant communities.

SIMN was founded in 2007 by the Missionaries of Saint Charles – Scalabrinians, a Catholic religious order established in 1887 by St. John Baptist Scalabrini. By strengthening collaboration among Scalabrinian grassroots organizations around the world, we promote greater public and political awareness of migration issues.

Through this unified network, we provide essential services, protection, and advocacy for vulnerable populations around the world. Every year, our programs support more than 600,000 people in 35 countries, advancing dignity, inclusion, and hope for those on the move. SIMN Europe Africa acts as Regional Office for projects in this geographic area.
